The 2012 Auburn City Council Community Grants Program open Monday 23rd January and close Monday 27 February.
The annual Community Grants Program (CGP) provides financial assistance to local non-profit community based organisations for one off projects and initiatives. Projects must address Council’s funding priorities for the Auburn Local Government Area (LGA).
Who can apply?
Local non-profit community based incorporated organisations with an Australian Business Number (ABN) can apply. Organisations without an ABN must be auspiced by an incorporated organisation.
How Much Funding Can I Apply For?
A funding pool of up to $100,000 is available in 2012. Services Providers can apply for grants up to $10,000. Organisations run only by volunteers can apply for grants up to $5,000.

The session will include a demonstration of how to use the online application system.
Preparing a Successful Grant Workshop
(limited spaces – bookings are essential)
Wednesday 1 February 2012, 5pm-9pm (Part 1) and Wednesday 8 February 2012, 5pm-9pm (Part 2)
Attendance at both sessions is required. Preference will be given to voluntary organisations operating in the Auburn LGA.
The workshop will assist applicants to develop their grant writing skills. Participants will get tips about how to develop project plans and budgets. The workshop will focus on Auburn City Council’s Community Grants Program.
How do I apply for the Community Grants Program?
Please read the 2012 Community Grants Program Guidelines before completing the application form. The Guidelines are attached.

Organisations that have previously received funding through the Community Grants Program are required to submit a report to Council about their project. Auburn City Council will not consider further applications until they have received an evaluation or progress report on previously funded projects.
